Frequently asked questions

  • Freeze-drying - what is it?

Freeze-drying is the most gentle way of drying, which preserves taste, aroma and almost all benefits of berries and fruits.

  • How is it done?

First, we collect fresh berries and fruits on our fields. Then we bring them to the refrigerator. There they are cooled under 0 degrees Celsius, after that berries are sent to shock-freezing under -30 degrees Celsius. Afterward, we dry them for 24-40 hours in the freeze-drying machine to evaporate all moisture.

To make 100 gr of freeze-dried berries we use 1 kg of fresh ones.

  • Why do taste and benefits stay the same?

Because we don’t change the product: we just collect, freeze and dry. Only the moisture is gone, while 97% of health benefits and all taste qualities are preserved. We don’t add colorings or flavor enhancers. Everything is natural and real.

  • What taste do they have?

The taste of freeze-dried products is the same as the taste of freshly harvested fruits and berries.

  • What consistency do they have?

Freeze-dried products are dried and have pleasant crunchiness.

  • How can you eat them?

Freeze-dried products can be added to breakfast or pastry, be a base for smoothies, an addition to oatmeal, cheese, ice cream and salads. Of course, you can eat them just on their own.

  • Who will enjoy them?

Anyone. Children and adults. Workers and students. Travelers and ones who prefer watching movies at home. If you love tasty and healthy products, Panfruit is your perfect option.

  • What advantages does Panfruit have?

    • Our products are 100% organic and natural. That is proved by the EU certificates.
    • We have a “30 minutes” rule. Within this time just harvested berries go to shock-freezing, so the maximum amount of quality and benefits are preserved.
    • We don’t use pesticides, herbicides, and other chemical products in the fields where our fruits and berries are grown. On the contrary, we plant green manure (special crops that are planted to restore the soil) every year, while our bees and wild insects pollinate berries and orchards. This way we support biodiversity.
